Well I suppose it's less accurate to say that I am not into slash and more accurate to say that I am not a shipper for the two slash couples presented in this fic. That's not to say I actively object, I just tend to be a canon shipper in general.
Having said that, I will read any well written fic with any ship in it period. I will always have my fav ships, that I will love and hold dear but I do not believe that having a ship in a fic that I don't ship automatically makes that fic bad. In fact one of the things I love about really well written in character fic is that it can show me ways things could go another way for two characters. One of the things I liked about this fic is Danny and Steve where still in character - you didn't have to radically alter their personalities to slash them. ( I can speak less to Methos and Duncan, simply because they were in the fic less). I am not going to lie though, I think my favorite canons in this where Matt in general and just watching Kono trying to figure things out.
And if I am going to be frank this fic came with a very high rec from someone I trust while it was a WIP so I was willing to give it a try. I am thoroughly glad I did.
